About Me

Hello - Domestika How to Achieve Creative Goals with Jeff Fajans

Jeff Fajans

Coach + Creator + Leader

Hey there!

My name is Jeff Fajans (rhymes with "lions").

I help creators and entrepreneurs bring their biggest ideas to life and reach their next level of creative success.

My mission is to help 1 million creative people (like you) bring their biggest ideas to life, grow their impact, and become their best creative selves (aka become Creative Badasses).

The values that drive me are creativity, curiosity, compassion, and courage.

I’ve worked 1-on-1 with hundreds of creative people and presented to thousands of others across the world from every continent except Antarctica  (for some reason penguins aren’t into self-development).

My clients come from all creative industries - from technology, design, marketing, software development, filmmaking, writing, art, music, architecture, content creators & influencers, professional speaking, academia, non-profit, and other small and mid-sized creative businesses.

These are people who are pursuing big goals like starting or leading a business (and scaling it to higher levels of innovation & growth), writing + filming a feature film (and it winning a Sundance award), building an app or product (and getting accepted into Y Combinator or getting VC funding), writing a book (and hitting the Amazon bestseller list) or even exploring a meaningful side hustle or passion project.

Here are 3 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Me

  • Thing #1: My last name Fajans rhymes with "lions".  This is a Polish last name. My Polish great-grandfather Kazimierz Fajans discovered the chemical element, Protactinium, and ate lunch with Albert Einstein at a table my parents now have in their dining room.
  • Thing #2: I have a PhD in Positive Organizational Psychology from Claremont Graduate University, where I studied under Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, world-renowned author of Flow.  My research focused on how to help people learn, develop, and lead more effectively to better achieve creative goals.
  • Thing #3: I am an avid music creator and guitar player - and since the birth of my amazingly curious, creative, and energetic ~3-year-old son, Hendrix, I have been creating funky fresh kids music that captures the authenticity, joy, craziness, and fun of toddlers and parents experiencing the world together.  This is NOT anything like the typical cookie-cutter children's music out there.  The president of the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP) described my EP, Trash Truck, as "Beastie Boys for Babies" 🤣.

I'd love to help you achieve your creative goals - whether it's launching your startup or winning a Sundance Award.

My Creative Projects I'm Currently Excited About

No Bare Po Po's on the Couch (Feb 2022)

My latest "beastie boys for babies" release was inspired by Year 3 of my son, Hendrix's life.

Check it out here (on Spotify), or click the image below.

Daddy Skeleton (Halloween 2021)

For some reason, my son, Hendrix, had been OBSESSED about Halloween since early Summer in 2021. We listened to A LOT of Halloween songs on the way to and from pre-school, and I just felt that the typical kids Halloween song didn't really capture the fun and energy within an active, creative toddler.

This single release was inspired by a silly game of hide-&-go-seek + chase that my son and I played where I pretended to be a skeleton. He'd run away and hide from me, and seek refuge from Mommy Skeleton.

It was a lot of fun.

So I wrote & produced a song about it.

Check it out here (on Bandcamp), or click the image below.

Trash Truck (Feb 2021)

You guessed it, the title track of this EP originates for the sheer joy & excitement my son gets from seeing trash trucks on trash day.

Other tracks include bangers like I'm Gonna Do This, Swiffer Boy, and Rock in the Bucket.

This album has been described as "Beastie Boys for Babies" by the head of NARIP.

Check it out here (on Spotify), or click on image below.

Pat Your Belly Like a Hippo (July 2020)

I have another batch of 3 wild songs that I created, performed, and produced that captures the essence of Hendrix's experience from 12-18 months.

It has been a lot of fun creating goofy music for toddlers that integrates my own musical tastes.

The Hendrix Experience: Year One (Dec 2019)

After the birth of my totally awesome son, Hendrix, I was inspired to write & produce music for and about babies & toddlers that deliberately stands out from traditional "baby/kids music" - music that draws upon the true perspective, feelings, and experiences of the baby/toddler (as well as the parents) that is also catchy, singable, and fun for both baby and parent.

I drew upon my decades of guitar playing, my eclectic music experience, and my influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Hip Hop, Pop, Funk, Jazz, and Blues to create The Hendrix Experience: Year One, an album for and about my son. This was released on December 29th, 2019 (his 1st birthday). Check it out here.

*All music has been tested and approved by my son. Guaranteed to satisfy any baby or toddler with good taste in music.
